BSS Upland Hunt Test at the "Canine Classic"

Not your usual CBSRC Club Trial/BSS Hunt Test - the CBSRC and BSS have partnered with the Fine Arts Center of Kershaw County to participate in the "Canine Classic for the Arts: A Family Day of Field Trials and Fun" at The Meeting Place/Leonard Price Plantation in Cassatt, SC (north of Camden and south of Kershaw). The BSS Hunt Test, which is a chance to earn a single pass toward your Boykin's pedigree title, will be just one of many events of the day. The day will kick off at 7:30 a.m.  and conclude no later than 3:30 p.m. Sportsman and spectators are encouraged to bring their entire family to enjoy a day filled with sporting dogs, outdoor fun, and good food.

The SC Department of Natural Resources will be on hand with their Take One to Make One team along with wagon rides, vendors, artisans, and a special silent auction with one of a kind items!  Youth handler set ups - SC DNR pellet gun and archery ranges; Youth Gold Panning setup by Hail Gold Mine; climbing wall and obstacle courses for the kids.  All proceeds will benefit the Fine Arts Center of Kershaw County. Free admission to watch and experience the fun!  Expect great activities for kids, adults and dogs!  Lunch will be available on site.  Dinner will be catered and the auction and raffle to benefit the The Fine Arts will be at the end of the day.

Pointing Dog Field Trial:

Super Retrieve: $25  (long tough super mark for all breeds)
Canine Class Swamp Monster Challenge: $25  (super long water blind for all breeds)
Retrieving Puppy Derby: $25  (puppy retrieving trial for all breeds under one year old)

From I-20: Take Exit 98, Hwy 521 north thru Camden for approximately 7 miles. Watch for EMS station on your left and sign for North Central High School. On the right across from EMS station will be Lockhart Rd. Turn right onto Lockhart Rd and go 8.5 miles and you will see a fire station on your right. Just past the fire station, turn right onto Keys Lane. Follow Keys Lane 1.7 miles and Leonard Price Plantation will be on your left.

Boykin Spaniel Foundation SC DMV License Tag:

The Boykin Spaniel Foundation Specialty Plate is now available online through the DMV website at www.scdmvonline.com.

SCDMV Boykin Spaniel Foundation license tags are available at any SCDMV office -- A portion of the proceeds from these tags will go to The Boykin Spaniel Foundation, a non profit entity -- The Boykin Spaniel Foundation provides free Eye and Heart Cerf clinics at BSS events and (one per household) OFA hip evaluation reimbursement to all Boykin Spaniel Society members -- For more information on The Boykin Spaniel Foundation, please call the Boykin Spaniel Society and ask for a brochure (803) 425-1032 -- We hope to see a lot of Boykin Spaniel license tags on the road!!!








Pre-Register For Upcoming CBSRC Field Trial Events


Sign In Policy at Field Trials:

Sign in and entry fee payment is at 7:30 am and cut off is at 8:30 a.m. the morning of the field trial -- Your dog must be signed in and the entry fee paid by 8:30 am or your dog will not be allowed to run

You may pre-register your dog for the trials
Preregistration must be received the Wednesday prior to the trial by Chess Helms.

Send in your dogs name, owner information, handler information, Phone number and class to be entered, along with your NONREFUNDABLE entry fee to secure your dog's place at the trial.

*Jr. Puppy : $15Member / $25 Nonmember
*Sr. Puppy :$15 Member / $25 Nonmember

Junior Handler $10
Upland (Oct - Jan) $35
*Jr. Puppy is puppies up to 6 months
*Sr. Puppy is puppies up to 1 year

If you know you will be late on the morning of the trial, we encourage you to pre-register your dog or ask someone to sign your dog in and pay you dog's entry fee for you by the 8:30 am cut off time.

Please Remember your dog must be signed in and the entry fee paid by 8:30 am the morning of the trial!
